command line question

Hi, I just installed RedHat Linux 7.2 and I'm having trouble with the double escape key thingg. I am not sure the tech term for it but as you all know, when you press the escape key twice really fast in the console, it will finish typing the command for you. By the way, what is this called? is it control by a program?? Thanks

Its the tab key... I call it "tab completion".

Thanks, that help a lot. Do you know if I can have that set to the Escape key instead of the TAB key??
