Error installing QT files

Im trying to install the following QT files but am getting errors while installing from the CD. So it looks as though il have to download. Before I do this Id just like to check the best way to do this. It seems these files need other files. Must I download them to or are they likely to be installed already. Hopefully if the reader is technical you will be obvious to you. As its 32 meg to download Id like some advise first.

Unless you're planning on getting into developing a QT based frontend to databases I don't think you really want all of the above..


Having read the previous post now ... You need QT devl and QT2-xt ... which puts it in the realm of X.

Perhaps knowing WHY you need to install these might help, but the common uses for QT would only require the basic QT lib libraries (libQTdevl) ... possibly the headers .... personally I like to use shared libraries more than static, since you only need to pull the new library down and rarely have to relink after ..

Further .. what sort of problems are you having with the install?
