Hi, i want to switch to the linux OS but have a few questions i would like to know the answer too. I would like to know if i could still use my digital camera on this OS and whether i can still have itunes(or something similar). Would i be able to use limewire and play games on the OS? Basically would i be able to do the things that i can on windows with linux??
please let me know, thank you!

No Itunes but you can use Amarok which I personally think is much better.
Unless you use Itunes for actually buying music. Then you're kinda out of luck. Also, are you going to use it to sync your ipod? I know that currently syncing with an ipod works but I remember reading an article about those jerks making ipods only work with itunes via firmware upgrade. Some bull**** about how its to curb piracy.

Limewire, yes you can have limewire...works great.

Games....sort of. Depends on the games....depends if you wan't to pay for game support. Basically what I'm trying to say is don't expect your games to work.

Digital camera should work. Best thing to do is to do a google search for your camera and linux. Most of the time it should work.

Yes to the camera (most likely), limewire, etc. Games will either be native ports of things like Enemy Territory, the various Quake games, Unreal Tournament series, etc. or they will be windows games running via wine (or crossover or cedega)

cool thanks alot, i will need to sync the ipod though, however i can just use my gfs if it wont work on the linux OS. also, things like skype and msn messanger, will all that work too? and games, well i just play the occasional mmorpg or like heros from the 90's haha so im not too worried about those, but thanks for the responses :) im looking forward to switching to linux

If you don't want to buy a console, Windows XP is the best gaming platform around.

There are currently more games for linux than anything else, but not everyone thinks Frozen Bubble is the best game engine in the world.

As far as everything else, yes. If you can do it in Windows "we" can do it in Linux, usually better and faster, too.

As far as the camera, if it is just a normal usb cable connection, it will most likely just show up as a usb flash device for easy access.

If you don't upgrade your firmware on the ipod, it should work fine. You won't know until you try :D
