umounting a cd drive

Hi all,

On my Red Hat 7.2 machine, I'm trying to umount my cd drive by running umount /mnt/cdrom but it keeps telling me that it's busy when it isn't. How can I get around this?

Make sure you not in that folder when you try to unmount. I do that alot. :D

You're not the only one, I do alot of swearing and then go Oooops, close the folder and like magic it works. It's usually late at night when this happens, this way I can blame it on me being tired.

I've had that problem also a lot. Can't figure it out sometimes because I exit completely out and re-log in and it still is busy. I've had to reboot to get the darn CD out.
