heads up to fellow slackers to check out the uptdated -current changelog...

http://slackware.com/changelog/current.php?cpu=i386

the gtk series (and prolly some version of 2.4.x) was pretty much the last pieces of the pie b4 beta so i guess a solid beta (or release) :) may just be around the corner...

cheers

EDIT: duh, forgot to provide linkage...

SonOfA*****!!!

I finally got my 60GB HDD installed in my home server and I was going to upgrade to the May 2 weekly ISO and recover the 45GB HDD that's currently mounted as root. I just burned the freakin CD a few hours ago, too. I'm so pissed because I checked the changelog (just prior to the update) and figured Pat took the week off or something!

Now, after seeing the new changelog, I'll have to wait another week.

I'm still using the current from... 2 weeks or so ago. I see the only major upgrade was GNOME (which I don't use) so no reason to upgrade. :) I see some new packages though, and looks like they finally moved GNOME to /opt along with KDE. Nothing like having two "enemies" in the same house. :)

Whats to gripe about - just use autoslack (ftp://ftp.slackware.com/pub/slackware/unsupported/autoslack).
