Hey all -
I need to set up a serial cable connection (I don't remember if that's the correct term for it... it's a computer to computer connection using the parallel ports in back) between my linux machine and my friend's windows machine. I need to do this because we're gonna rebuild his machine (windows 98 has effectively rendered it unusable) and he wants to save all of his MP3's and crap like that.
I was wondering if there was a way to set this up... I'm not on a network, and I don't really have any networking experience. I've done this before in win98... and their "wizard" put me through hell and back.
If someone could point me towards the light, I would greatly appreciate it.
system:
drake 8.0
Athlon 750 Mhz
512 MB RAM
Generic MoBo w/ Award Bios and Via chipset
TIA
