LM 7.2 How come I never d/l the whole thing???

I am trying to download the Mandrake 7.2 iso and I always get 484M downloaded... actually I do download the full 680M, but when it transfers onto my HD it is only 484M. When I tried installing using this ISO I get an error when installing that says :

error mounting ramdisk

Any idea how I can get the full download? Is this something to do with my computer and how it downloads files?

As far as I can tell from here. YES.

Have you tried other sites/mirrors to d/l from? www.linuxiso.org (http://www.linuxiso.org) is one you can try.

I've tried linuxiso.org as well as the linux-mandrake site... I have downloaded it 5 times now! 2.5G in two days ;)

Does this have anything to do with my swap file or something like that?

ack... nevermind, it is because of my swap file :(, I have it set to 448M... I have a feeling that is my problem... argh, I should have thought about that before I downloaded the iso so many times :)

It has nothing to do with your swap. As long as you have enough space available on whatever partition you are using to download the iso onto, it should be fine. Check to make sure.

Arg... it stilled didn't work... I guess it was just a coincidence that my swap file was the same size :)... I have plenty of room on this partition for the file. I still don't know why it doesn't want to work... I might as well try LM 8.0 now :)

Can anyone else help? I still can't download the full 680M iso... I am using win2k

Try using GetRight.. Then, when the download finishes, you can try resuming.. It may start off at 484 MB and get the rest..

All I can suggest.. Strange problem indeed.. Death to windows!
