nethack & termlib

I'm trying to compile nethack, and the linker says the termlib library doesn't exist*. Anyone know where I can find this? I've looked around and the only site I could find with information on this was in spanish... and I can't read spanish. I also read the documentation that came with it, and that was't much help, either. <=(

* exact error: "ld: cannot open -ltermlib, no such file or directory"
