I am using KDE 3.5.5 "release 45.4" on OpenSuSE 10.2 and have a really odd thing happening with my desktops...

I have 4 desktops selected and each has a unique name. All have the rotating background set (new image every so often) and until about 2 hours ago they all were identical backgrounds. But now desktop #1 has a Gnome background AND when I right mouse click on the desktop, Gnome commands show up. BUT desktops 2,3 and 4 are KDE and operating the way I configured them too.

NOW when I look at the KDE kicker on desktop 1 I see the bottom of the image from desktops 2,3 and 4. I checked and my WM is KDE, everything is set up for KDE and yet I am getting a Gnome background on desktop 1!?

I will attach 2 screens, one of desktop #1 and the other of desktop #2 so you can see what I mean... and no I am not using compiz, xgl or any of the eye candy. Straight up Xorg

Well I have replicated this "bug" on several other machines, including a couple laptops. I can't seem to quite figure it out BUT I think it has something to do with Evolution or using Evolution as an e-mail client. I just don't know.

So after diddling around with KDE and the New OpenSuSE 10.3 I finally found out why I am getting a Gnome interface on the #1 desktop and that is because I disabled icons on the desktop!?

I have never seen this happen before in SuSE, OpenSuSE or any other distribution I have used over the years. Now why? Anyone?
