That's just the nature of Mozilla and Netscape, sorry. A few seconds isn't bad, but if it were taking 10 seconds to load then there's obviously a problem. Exactly how long does it take to load for you? And what kind of machine do you have? My copy of Mozilla 0.9.5 takes about 3-4 seconds to load, and I have a T-Bird 800 with 512 megs of RAM.

Load time is about the same for Windows, too. And I can always remember Netscape and Mozilla taking a few seconds to load. It's natural. ='D

If you use or have KDE installed you can always use Konqueror, too. That loads up a bit faster (about 1-2 seconds for me, comparable to IE under Windows), and it can use plugins from Mozilla and Netscape.
