I want to make a 133 on my network a dns server. So instead of typing in the cable dns servers I can type in 192.168.1.4. Anyways would I use bind or a caching name server? Also where do I add entries so I can give the 4 computers in my lan some crazy names.

Yes you would need to install bind. Check out

a caching-nameserver is a specific configuration of bind. Read the DNS-HOWTO for more details.
