I have a couple of lcd's laying around a 22 inch and a 15 inch both with inverters. I have ideas for them But don't have any idea how to interface the pc with them, I figured there may be someone around here who may know. Thanks

A 22" LCD laptop screen? Or am I misunderstanding you?
If not, it can be done but it's likely that it won't be easy. Depending on what type of displays they are you may have to resolder the connections and possibly add some extra hardware (since some of the logic for laptop displays is inside the laptop so the display is useless on its own). Google has a wealth of information about this and if you're serious about doing this then that's where you're going to end up sooner or later.:)

Actually to clarify, the 22 inch screen came out of a gateway all-in-one multimedia system. Ive been googleing but I havent found anything that is very clear about going about adapting it.

I suspect that's because the answer is "it depends".:)
From what I can see the exact method has to do with when the panel was made and how it interfaces. If it's relatively new and uses LVDS then you might be fortunate enough that a video card supporting that will take care of it. Otherwise it's anybody's guess how/if you can do it.
This (http://www.geocities.com/p9019/lcdpanel) seems to be a pretty good reference, but as you can see it's not a trivial process by any means.

That is a cool site, but as you mentioned not as strait forward as I would have hoped. I want to put together a suitcase style computer solely for doing data recovery/drive mirroring etc, and I figured one of those displays would fit the bill perfectly. I'll investigate the links on that site further and see what I come up with. Thanks

Best of luck. If I were you I might just find myself a cheap 15" LCD from somewhere and use that, since it will have a normal connector, but this could be a fun project too.:)

The best way, which doesn't seem to be an option for you, is to keep it attached to the original laptop and use that laptop as a dumb X terminal if it's too slow. I have vague ideas of doing this with an old 300mhz laptop, turning it into a bizarre chunky hybrid laptop/portable.
