They claim on their website, that this is the best thing since sliced bread. I would like to give it a shot, but would like to know some opinions before I fork over $15.00 to download it. By the way what do you guys think about them charging for a download?

Well, yes I tried it, but couldn't even get it to install. It refused to see my third (Linux) drive, even though all three ide devices were identified during the initial boot screen. In the installer though, it would only see hde and hdf, so I couldn't install to hdg. When I switched the controller cables over so my Linux (hdg) was now hdf, I got as far as installing the boot loader. Then, even though we had been working with hde and hdf, it would only allow me to try to install LiLo on hda (which, of course, it then couldn't find) I can only assume this is again a kernel 2.4.3 problem and Promise UDMA cards (as with Mandrake 8). Anyhow, it was enough to cause me to give up in disgust (Promise UDMA 66 cards are hardly new, nor rare so I'm very ticked at Libranet and Mandrake for not getting that right with their current installs).

If you don't have a promise card, it may be fine.

aye, I'm using it right now. Although my version is 1.8.1, it's still pretty cool. It comes with loads of software, tech support (email) and a really nice in OS setup/admin tool. Granted, the installer is the debian basic, but it's made so much simpler by the instruction manual that comes with it.

I encourage anyone who wants to install linux/debian, but doesn't want to have too much of a hassle getting things running... try it, you'd be supprised..

All the power of debian with some pre-packaged software and a step-by-step hand-holder for the install. I say go for it!
