How do I connect a linux maching to a Unix machine via serial port?

At my dealer we have a computer system for invoicing and inventory that runs on unix. I have a linux box in my office and thought it should be posible to connect to it. The connector to the system is a serial connector. Is there something similar to Procomm for linux? Someone mentioned Minicom but that's for modems it looks like. Any suggestions?

Modems use serial ports also... :)
