I'm back with another newbie question, I need to get some mp3's so I downloaded LimeWire at download.com. How do I install bin files? You people must be getting annoyed by me now..

You will probably be posting next due to Java problems, so I suggest you search the forums here for Limewire as the topic has been covered many times especially in the Software forum.

Also, I found that LimeWire wasn't happy unless it was installed into a directory that had completely open permissions, unless you plan on running it as root, which I wouldn't.

if you go to the limewire home page, there is a discussion board there... I found it very helpful

Yeah - if you don't want us to get annoyed from too many questions, read first. EX: On the LimeWire website, they explain how to install their program. Follow that.

Its like you can read my mind!! LoL!
Ok, so I'll go do that search later on, Mandrake 8.1 works really well though...Now if Only I can get a dual boot working again so I can use Wine with Counter-Strike and Star Craft....

Did you check out TransGaming (http://www.transgaming.com) website? My friend is playing HL/CS under Mandrake Linux 8.1, still a little buggie but they are working on it. I also heard that Star Craft is doing very well too. So if you still want to duel boot it won't be long before you can enjoy all you favorit Win32 games under Linux.
