My sound card is embedded on the motherboard, how do I find out what kind it is and were to get the proper driver to get to to play audio CDs correctly?

Try contacting the company who manufactured your computer (if any).

The motherboard should have come with a manual or a cdrom, probably both.
The information is sure to be in there.
Have you ever install windows on this board?
Device manager will tell you what driver was loaded and you should be able to work backwards from there.
