I downloaded and burned the suse7.3 evaluation cd, but i doesn't finds my mouse.. well, i have a cursor, but when i move my mouse, it dissapears. anyone an idea if there's a possibility to fix this?

Try looking at ps -u root|grep gpm. that should show you the PID and you can kill the process, or you could just killall gpm. The other option is to look in Yast and disable it from there. I'll look next time i'm in Linux and refresh my memory in case you have more questions. [ 01 January 2002: Message edited by: thor4linux ] Ludootje 01-02-2002, 08:37 AM thanks, but i can't run anything if i don't have my mouse, so i can't disable it :( anyways i just took my brothers mouse (a normal one, no wheel etc) and it works fine.. i just set up my internet connection (i simply clicked on "configure LAN" in the menu, and i didn't had to hit a button "autodetect" or whatever, i just clicked "finish" and everything worked! i'm falling in love with suse d00d! the only problem is that it's awfully slow as it's on a cd.. so or i download icewm (nice AND fast) - unlike fvwm&mwm which are already on the cds - or i temporarily switch to windowmaker.. anyway, i think i'm moving to suse 7.3 - the "real" one, not the evaluation cd but i still have that mouse problem :( i hope i can configure my mouse somewhere now (maybe using kcontrol, which just helped me to set my keyboard as an azerty instead of a querty) so that i can put my brothers mouse back, cause if he comes home and sees i took his mouse :/ CONCLUSION: SuSe w00ts! edit: ow; and your sig is nice :) [ 02 January 2002: Message edited by: Ludootje ] justlinux.com
