MBMarduk 03-29-2001, 11:15 AM Star Office, AbiWord, you name it, sure! Why would you think they wouldn't work? posterboy 03-29-2001, 11:42 AM It's maybe important to know that simply changing from one environment to another can be done without crippling anything. Whatever you had working in one, will continue in the other, although it may be subject to changes in things like it's opening position, etc. Ray [ 29 March 2001: Message edited by: posterboy ] Molecule Man 03-29-2001, 01:09 PM That, and things like qt programs might start a bit slower in a non-qt environment (Pretty much anything but KDE). So Koffice will start up slow, as all the qt libs get loaded. It is not as bad as loading programs through wine though. Hartmann 03-29-2001, 08:29 PM See I thought that when you changed environments their libraries were inaccessible (ie. running KDE apps in GNOME). Thanks for the reply! justlinux.com
