I want to start using Enlightenment and I was wondering if everything is pretty much the same as KDE? Can I run StarOffice?

Star Office, AbiWord, you name it, sure!

Why would you think they wouldn't work?

It's maybe important to know that simply changing from one environment to another can be done without crippling anything. Whatever you had working in one, will continue in the other, although it may be subject to changes in things like it's opening position, etc. Ray

That, and things like qt programs might start a bit slower in a non-qt environment (Pretty much anything but KDE). So Koffice will start up slow, as all the qt libs get loaded. It is not as bad as loading programs through wine though.

See I thought that when you changed environments their libraries were inaccessible (ie. running KDE apps in GNOME).

Thanks for the reply!
