Squirrelmail: IMAP Connection Dropped Error

Upon trying to login on my IMAPS mail server via Squirrelmail, I get the following error:
ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server.
Here's the message from mail.log:
Mar 20 21:00:56 maddogstudios imapd-ssl: couriertls: accept: error:140760FC:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_CLIENT_HELLO:unknown protocol
Can anyone help me deciper the error message? Thanks!

Not sure if this will help, but do you have saslauthd running? If not, it might help...

Sorry for the belated reply -- what is saslauthd and how do I start it?

I know I have some type of SSL program running because I have POP-SSL running (and working).

saslauthd is the security deamon that SSL uses to authenticate, I don't believe logins will work if SSL is enabled and saslauthd is not running. How to turn it on depends on what distro you're using.
