I was having problems with Red Hat 6.2 before, now that 7.1 is going to be released I was wondering if it would work with my Diamond Viper v770 TNT2 32 meg. RedHat 6.2 wouldn't recognize the card on two different systems (one 16 meg and one 32 meg). Upon doing some research I discovered that there was a conflict with this card... has it been fixed?

I would like to install it on my FAT32 partition but not until I know it will work :D

Actually Redhat has nothing to do with your video card. Xfree86 is what handles your video card in linux and redhat 7.1 comes with xfree86 4 and does handle your card, very nicely actually..I used to play Quake3 with a TNT in linux, worked great.

My TNT2 (Creative Labs card) has always worked on SuSE 6.2, 'drake 7, Slack 7.1, these all come after RedHat 6.2 so I guess the problems with X have been fixed. It must have been cutting-edge at the time of RH6.2 so support would have been poor.
