Hi All,
About a year ago I remember hearing tale of an app for Linux that resizes partitions on the fly, like Partition Magic does for Windows. My friends haven't heard of this. Was I just on drugs or does something like this exist?
Thanks Much,
Delilah

Gosh, I don't know exactly what you mean. I will say the partition tool with Drake 7.x and 8.x does a great job. I have used it to deal with screwed up partitions, and hit the power switch when it was done, and Win was back where I left it. I don't know what they call it, but it works great. Cheapbytes about $4 plus shipping for install CD.

You might also search http://www.freshmeat.net for GNU parted. It probably does what you want and the search will also turn up graphical front-ends for parted.
GNU parted (http://www.gnu.org/software/parted/parted.html), but be careful- read the docs before you dive in.

If you just want to split and existing partition there is also fips. However I am not endorsing this program as I have never used it and I would always suggest backing up your data if you are playing with your partitions.
