I've got 7.0 rock solid on my system. (Even if I just can't seem to get samba working) I tried 7.2 a month ago and had a hell of a time with CUPS and didn't like the way the menus looked in KDE. Has anyone here tried rc1 and has the menu problem seemed to been cleared up? And how does CUPS look or is there a way to use the old lpr (since I'm a cheap b@$t@rd and have only 2 old dot matrix printers). And is the newtorking setup looking ok. I just looked at the screen shots and looks like I might finally go for the full distro and not the d/l version.

Yessir, I have found Mandrake 8 beta 3 to be quite good. I like the menus, etc., that is to say, they suit me as a muti boot computer user. I like KDE personally because it helps ease the learning curve for windows users. Beta 3 has been most nearly stable for me, but please bare in mind that I'm not a tremendously advanced Linux user.

I've been able to successfully set up a home lan using the connection sharing, and would have to say in all honestly, that it's more reliable and faster than it's windows counterpart.
