Yeah, yell at me if you want but I need to do it. I need to remove my copy of Mandrake Linux off of my WinXP system but I don't know how (its dual booted). When I loaded it I installed Linux in the Windows partition but now I need to remove Linux so that I can have the rest of the space on my HDD for Windows.

Okay, so, how do I uninstall Linux, restore the existing Linux partion back to Windows, remove the boot manager from the MBR and do all of this with as little trouble as possible. Linux guru's, I need your help.

A side note: Linux will be placed on a new machine I'm building--not tossing it out.:-)

Thanks

Use fdisk /mbr to remove lilo or whatever bootloader you have loaded into the mbr. Then use something like partition magic to remove the linux partition.

I think this will do it.
