1) Autoplay is EVIL, EVIL, EVIL. How did Sony get its rootkit installed on every Windows machine that ever inserted one of the broken CDs from Sony BMG? That's right, it was done with autoplay. Why are USB storage devices banned form a lot of Windows PCs in larger businesses? That's right, autoplay (your average user, if they find a USB key laying around, will blindly plug it into their machine, which will trigger autoplay without them even realizing it).
Seriously, you DON'T WANT it. Even if you think you do. ;)
2) Linux can't run Windows programs. Your AOL CD is useless, as it only contains Windows programs. It may be possible to hook up to AOL using Linux, but I've certainly never tried it; you may be able to find some helpful info on how to do it at the other end of a Google for Linux search (www.google.com/linux) if you haven't tried that already.
3) What do you mean by "Linux pro"? Do you mean a certain distribution? Which one?
