Hello Everyone,
I have fedora 6 running on my laptop. I want to watch videos on youtube but the sites says that I need to have a flash player. So I downloaded and installed a flash player through the link which was given in youtube site. But I'm still not able to watch any videos and it displays the same message again.

Can anyone please tell me what to do as I'm very NEW to Fedora.

Perhaps this link will help:

While the tarball Adobe provides will work on any distro, it's usually less stressful to let your package manager handle the nitty-gritty details.

This link from Osnews.com might help. Could be that the flash plugin you downloaded is not the latest version (9). Some good links that will give you help.

alrite.....

I downloaded the tar.gz file (adobe flash player) from adobe.com.
Then I unpacked the file and I ran the installer.

I guess I did not install it properly in the first place.
(I'm very new to Linux :(( )
