I have searched quite a bit but am unable to come up with a solid answer. What mod is it that adds the Mac Wuick Launch bar at the bottom of the screen?

Looks like gDesklets launcher bar. There is plenty of other such launchers too, adesklets ( http://adesklets.sourceforge.net/) comes to mind.

Could be Engage.
Here (http://fedoranews.org/blog/?p=557) is a link that explains how to get it set up for Fedora....might be helpful in setting it up in other distros as well.
The screenshot does look like gdesklets, but if you have KDE, you could also try KXDocker (http://www.xiaprojects.com/www/prodotti/kxdocker/main.php). Although the installation/configuration may be more difficult, it does feel a lot more smoother than gdesklets. Don't know about engage.

enlightenment also has an implementation.
The "Mac Quick Launch Bar" is usually called the Dock, and its copied too many times to other OSs. Even for the horrible Windows.

Just to throw another one out there, superkaramba has numerous implementations of the Dock on kde-look.org.

The dock is one of those things that has never been implimented as well in Linux. In OS X I love it! The Linux clones all seem to suck... lol
DarkDexter: Did you try out KXDocker with composite?
Yeah, I'm more into keeping my shortcuts in the right click menu instead of a fancy dock, but it may be a good way to attract attention :)
