Hi,
I have 2 computers, one with Suse Linux and one with WinXP, they are currently networked but I want to be able to share my internet connection. My modem is some USB ISDN modem that doesnt have Linux drivers so I need to use the WinXP PC as a proxy for Suse. Could anybody recommend a good proxy server that would still let me do every thing i normally could do with linux? Thanks

In the network settings on the 2k/XP box, share your connection. That will set your NIC to 192.168.0.1/24. Put your Linux box on 192.168.0.2 (netmask 255.255.255.0) and point it to 192.168.0.1 for the default gateway. Enter a DNS server or two in /etc/resolv.conf and you should be good to go.

Ewww... Microsoft Internet Connection Sharing on WinXP has been EXTREMELY buggy for me. It alwayz works for a while and then unexpectedly stops, and then you can't ever get it working again. This happened to me and quite a few of my friends.

Personally, I like WinRoute Pro the best, but last I checked it worked only on Win2K and below, and after checking their website I can't seem to find a download link for it anywhere. Oh well, see if you can find it on ZDnet...
