Well, as posted here before, my X screensaver does not want to work. I figured deleting my ~/.kde directory would fix it, but it didn't help.
The problem is when I configure my screensaver in KDE, it seems to work. I mean, the little preview runs fine, and when I click TEST it also runs fine. However, when the screensaver runs itself, nothing happens. This happens with ALL screensavers. The screensaver is TRYING to run, and I know this because if I move the mouse it asks me for my password. But for some reason it doesn't actually DISPLAY the screensaver.
Does anyone know what is going on? I reinstalled Mandrake 8.0 the other day, got all the updates (except for kernel*) and then installed KDE2.2
I did this before (installed, updated, KDE) and the screensaver worked. I'm baffled now.
