Dear LNO people,
I have been considering to upgrade from 6.2 to 7.1. Although the iso (as I have heard) have not been released yet, I am planning to just borrow from a friend by that time comes. My problem is I have certain packages in my 6.2 system that are compiled form source such as my KDE 2.1, XFree 4.0.3 and kernel 2.4.3. Would you think upgrading would be a good idea? Would it cause any conflicts?

I'm downloading the iso right now, i've tried the beta's from redhat, and it was pretty good.
Upgrading should not be any problem. I upgraded the first beta to the next, and without any problems.

Note: Upgrading takes a LONG time compared with an outright install. At least in Mandrake it does
