I'm very new to Linux, and I am trying to get it working on my laptop. I have a 3Com/Megahertz Cardbus adapter and I can't seem to get it to work. Several problems:

1. My PCMCIA drivers load after my NIC driver, causing Eth0 to "delay initialization" and fail.
2. What driver do I need for my card. The model # is 3CXFE575BT. It's a 10/100 card.
3. I've read about configuring my networking with a util called linuxconf. I can't seem to find it anywhere on my system. I'm running Redhat 7.1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I had a similar problem on my comp. If linuxconf is not in /sbin/ go on the second disk, if you are running GNOME, you can just mount the disk, goto /Red Hat/RPMS
and install linuxconf-(bunch of stuff).rpm. I'm not sure if you have to install the gnomelinuxconf as well from the same spot, but i did and you can then run it.

/sbin/linuxconf
Just set up the TCP/IC and you're ready to go! also change config mode under adapter 1 to manual.
