I'd say they're all equal, except for some applications that use the GNOME panel. (I don't know if they'll work on the KDE panel, since I don't use KDE... but they definately don't work right in Blackbox). GnomeICU is a great example of such a program.

dont use kde or gnome.

just use a window manager. enlightenment or blackbox or something!
