Kicq

Hello, i just made to install Kicq so far is working fine, i think! Im using the icq1.mirabilis.com server, and my problem here is when i do a search on a ICQ number he never founds anything, is this because i should running a service or i must have some door open? He says online but i can't "talk" with anyone.
If you have any ideia what could be appening here, please post here, thanks!!

does it work in windows?

are you running a firewall on the computer?

do you get any error messages or do your freinds just email you to say they haven't recieved your message?

are you on their contact list?

(btw what distro are you using)

a firewall can definitely screw things up but you could also try licq cvs. (not 1.0.4)

I'm not using firewall, but he finds ppl, but not icq numbers, for example when i try to find a icq number he can't find it.
Im using Suse 6.3
I will try to use another server!
