Go Figure. must be just the label, in my case. Have you tried loading a player and playing one? :) slayer17 05-23-2001, 08:47 PM Yeah, I have got xine, but it has some issues on my system. I was hoping that it was my dvdrom and not my system because I am using twinview geforce which has known issues with mpegs. :( bdl 05-23-2001, 09:05 PM Everything I've ever seen for DVD on linux basically states to create a symlink from your device file to a 'dvd'. cli# ln -s /dev/hdc /dev/dvd Works for me. thescribe7 05-25-2001, 11:31 AM BTW DVD format is not mpeg. I recently post for a player not long ago. I think it was strike or x_consol gave me a link to another player other than xine. Not at my home sys right now, and I can't remember the name of it. Try searching my i.d. for the post. thescribe7 05-30-2001, 04:43 PM Ahhhh, here it is... OMS - Open Media System - http://www.linuxvideo.org :D Hope this helps. justlinux.com
