firefox won't open in maximized window

no matter what state its in when I exit it, when I re-open it, it opens only in half a screen and I have to maximize it myself. It didn't do this before and its really getting annoying. Any suggestions?

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe this is a problem with your windowmanager or desktop.

it opens normally in other accounts. Only my primary user account is affected

Ok, let's test to see if it is Firefox or not.
1. Close Firefox. (and any Mozilla related programs)
2. Move your ".mozilla" directory to ".mozilla.bak"
3. Restart Firefox. (It should begin like a fresh install)

If it still starts the same, then it can't be the fault of Firefox.
1. Close Firefox.
2. Erase the new ".mozilla" directory
3. Move the ".mozilla.bak" directory to ".mozilla"
4. Restart Firefox and tell us what happened

a bunch of things went really wrong with that user account, so I just remade the entire account. Its fine now
