multiple terminals in one window

Can someone point me to an app that will allow multiple terminals within one window? I've heard of one called quadkonsole but I use Gnome. Is there something like that for Gnome that will run on Fedora 6?

I think gnome-terminal has that feature if by multiple terminals you mean tabbed terminals. If you want to see more than one terminal at once probably quadkonsole is the way to go. I will give it a try later. Looks interesting.

Another terminal that allows for multiple tabs (if that's what you meant by multiple terminals) is mrxvt (http://materm.sourceforge.net/wiki/). It's highly customizable with transparency and other features...for example I have one tab for a terminal, one for Midnight Commander, and one for irssi (IRC client) open automatically each time I start mrxvt. :)

you may want to check out "screen". it is, when used to its potential, an amazingly useful tool.
