I am trying to get my ups talking to linux.
It's a powerchute type "back-ups"
When I run the configure script I tell it to use ttyS0. Then at the end of the script it trys communication with the ups and results in failure with "WARNING: Port must be configured with modem control to work with a simple signaling ups"
What the heck, and how do I do that?
All works well with a win98 computer, I tried that to be sure all components are good. But I hate MS. Help please.
