SBC 2wire modem sets nameserver

I have sbc Dsl, with a 2wire modem. My computer is set to DMZ and I have to have eth0 set to dhcp for that. But whenever I restart eth0 the modem resets my resolv.conf to its settings, which i cant use. so i have to go into resolv.conf and type in "nameserver 128.8.10.14" everytime. is there a way i can get resolv.conf to stay how i want it?

Im using gentoo amd64 on a compaq r3240 and i use a 2.6.11 kernel

write an rc script to change it during bootup, or a cron script to check it occasionaly
