A widescreen, 16:9, TFT liquid chrystal TV. Can be used as a monitor by pressing 'PC' button, withall. But everything stretched out sideways. No problem for word processor but is for Gimp, say. Any way round this?

set your resolution to a wxga resolution, mine, for instance is on 1440 x 900

Thanks shadebug. You couldn't tell me how to do this could you? :confused:

Different point but does it follow - from there being nothing about the TV in XF86Config - that the TV adjusts itself to whatever signal is fed into it; the TV is intelligent and configures itself?
