Dear LNO people,
I use a redhat 6.2 system with kde 1.1.2 and gnome 1.0.55 previously installed. I installed KDE 2.1.1 from source and everything went fine. I also installed XFree86 4.0.3 binaries. I also installed the new XIMIAN GNOME 1.4. I have a 2.2.18 kernel with NVIDIA's newest NVDriver. I want to know how do I upgrade my system to red hat 7.1? Just upgrade from the cd? WIll it cause any conflicts?
Now more about upgrading to kernel 2.4.4. I have downloaded all prerequisities specified in the CHANGES file. But there are certain requirements before installing some files. Some require me to upgrade glibc. If i upgrade to glibc 2.2 do i need to reconfigure all my software that I have previously configured from source?
Please shed some light on this matter. Thanks for your support.
