I've been trying to install/upgrade Red Hat 7.1 for the past ten days. I had RH 7.0 working fine, but read the new 2.4 kernel would offer some benefits, so I thought I'd upgrade to 7.1. Doing an upgrade install didn't work and I think I eventually messed things up with the 7.0 version that was installed. So now I am trying to do a fresh install of 7.1. I can use either the text-based or graphical installers, and everything seems to install fine, but right at the end when it says something like "Performing post install operations...", it locks up without fail. The progress bar moves about an inch and then it freezes. I've waited up to twenty minutes a number of times and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? I am very, very much a linux newbie and will greatly appreciate any suggestions. Thanks-
