viewing other computers

how can i view other computers on the network? i've got internet connection through the network and i can print. so how about looking at other comps?

This sounds like a networking question. I suggest you go to the Network section of the forum, and funnily enough there are already several questions nearly the same as yours.

On a more general scale, you can use either NFS (Network File Systems) for viewing computers on linux or Samba for viewing computers on Windows (those are the only two I know sadly). Also depending on how you have your computers set up, you will want to know how to make them talk to each other before being able to access your other computers.
