Is there a way to make a shortcut to a console program (YaKuake) and when it opens have it put in a command (/opt/lampp/lampp start) ?

you can do it with "xterm -e /opt/lampp/lampp start"
I dunno about yakuake...read the manpage.

In KDE, create a "Link to Application". On the "Application" tab, you can click the "Advanced Options" button. The first option is "Run in Terminal". Check this box and you'll be good to go.
