I just installed some updates for Ubuntu and now my Firefox is broken.
I can browse the web just fine, but I get errors when I try to use any of the other options in firefox. For example when I try to look at the Preferences menu I get this error: XML Parsing Error: syntax error
Location: chrome://browser/content/preferences/preferences.xul
Line Number 1, Column 1:ssed = true;
^

When I try to Manage my Bookmarks I get this error:
XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
Location: chrome://browser/content/bookmarks/bookmarksManager.xul
Line Number 1, Column 3:ut")
--^

I also cant clear private data....nothing happens when I go to the option. My Downloads menu is empty too for some reason.

Anyone else experiencing this strange behaviour?? :confused:

Unistall your FF theme and update it for the new version of FF.

I actually use the default theme.
Seems like the problem fixed it self. After a reboot everything seems to work fine.
Wonder what the issue was.

Anway, thanks for the suggestion.

Most likely configuration modifications that had to be reloaded.

I'd wager that a logout & login would have handled the issues well-enough without rebooting the machine.
