Yea, I got Debian up and running! Unfortunately, during the install, when I had to enter my network information, Debian didn't play nicely with the combination of my Roadrunner connection and the subnet of my home network. Is there a configuration tool for re-entering this info? Also, I installed Gnome, but is there a way to force Gnome to act as the window manager when I start X? I am a BlackBox user, but Gnome is my second choice. Thanks VERY MUCH in advance. Ellie

You have 3 choices to modify your networking configuration:
1. edit /etc/network/interfaces and make the apropriate changes
2. use linuxconf to make the desired changes
3. use WebMin to make the changes
Gnome lets you choose which windowmanager you want to use. Simply klick on the Gnome configuration tool on the gnome panel and click on Desktop/WindowManager. You can add a number of your favourite windowmanagers there.
