how do i make BOOP into BLIP?

there has to be a way to change the tone/pitch/length of the default linux console 'beep'...
you know, when the PC speaker goes "BEEP"
well, mine goes "BOOP" and i hate it..
i want it to go "BLIP"
is there maybe a file where i can change this?
perhaps a utility? (slack or drake)...

I use the setterm command and you can specify the length and pitch, it's part of an LFS install but I don't know if it comes with those distros. I think you get it in the kbd package.

setterm -blength 20 -breq 5000
