Wine ./configure error

I just got the newist version of mepis installed, I wanted to get wine running, so I downloaded the latest source tarball
I ended up with this error when i tried ./configure
"no flex or lex driver installed"
I don't know the exact error, I will correct it when I get home in 3 hours.
does anyone have any idea where I can find the neccessary files?
and in waht directory do I place the files?

PS yes I'm a re-noob, I haven't run linux in 2 years

It means you need to install the "flex" package as provided by whatever Debian repos MEPIS uses.. There's probably also a wine package if you want to avoid compiling from source.
