No matter what distro, you will want Battle for Wesnoth (http://www.wesnoth.org/). However, be careful, it's very addictive. Oh, you said you are one already. :D

I am a RPG and TBS gamer addict

I already got games like baulder gate (2 and expansions), fallout & 2(which I haven't gotten around to) And recently won planescape torment which I understand to be awesome. Tactics ogre is good, got that on snes emulation. Gothic 2.. Oh thats the roleplaying games. Got age of wonders for strat that I've been playing.

Anyways yeah I've heard of your game I think, but I forgot the name, I tried before to make inquiries about its name again from the forums I heard of it on but got silence:p I'm glad you told me of it :) Problem though, the webpage won't load for me. On IE it loads a solid light yellow page. On opera it only loads the top title and the rest of the screen is dark brown. Oh yeah, this is under XP, I hope its alright that I post this topic.

Hmm, for me it loads in firefox just fine, after all I called it up to paste the URL. :D

Anyway, you don't need to get onto their website to download the game. Chances are high the game is available by means of the package manager that is being used in your distribution. Search it for Wesnoth and install the game if it's available. I am sure it is in Debian/Ubuntu/Kubuntu.

But game details are important too, are those in the download? I also really want to check out the webpage. :( Also I'm not sure when I'll be ready for linux, I'd like to get the windows version of it too. Or are they both in the same download? Does it work well with XP?

This here is the direct link (http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/wesnoth/wesnoth-windows-1.0.2.exe?download) for the Windows download.

From their FAQ:

We are not completely certain, but an x86 running at 600MHz with 128MB RAM should be adequate.
