Weird question. But first maybe I should first explain why.

I dual boot between Linux and Win98. I have an external harddrive that has a Fat32 filesystem, and I cannot use scandisk or defrag from win98 because it is too big. I tried re-partitioning it into 2 Fat32 partitions that should have been small enough but that did not help.

I am wondering if there is a program for Linux that will do what scandisk and defrag does in windows?

And besides, I spend most of my time in Linux anyway so it would be easier for me to run these from linux anyway, if such programs exist.

Any suggestions?
