Downloading .gz File

Normally I can download a .gz file by just clicking on the link, but I have a .gz (and .diff.gz link) that opens a page full of gibberish. Am I missing something?

Ps--I can get a 'ftp>' prompt on my machine.

Any ideas?

right click on the hyperlink and choose
'save target as...' (orsomething to that effect) and save to your home directory

Or (for Netscape) hold down Shift and left click on the link.
