when i try to login, i receive

gdm could not write to your authorization file
home directory could not be opened for writing

disk either full or permissions are set wrong

when i do a df -hl, i get

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol00
108G 103G 0 100% /
/dev/hda1 99M 9.8M 84M 11% /boot
/dev/shm 125M 0 125M 0% /dev/shm


*full disclosure*
this error happened after i detached and reattached the primary harddrive

looks like you're going to have to drop to the console and rm some stuff...
ctrl-alt-F1 and login...have a look around and see what you can delete...
if you can't login, I'd grab a livecd of some sort, mount the partition and do your repairs from there...
